AWS has come a long way in a very short amount of time. It seems that there is a new service, feature, or region of the world that they are deploying. So much so that some of our on-going Chef work at Crifkin all of the sudden had a nice little interface using AWS Opsworks.
In this session I will demonstrate the AWS Opsworks interace and how it has helped us deploy HP/HA Drupal sites and other custom solutions. In order to piece everything together, I will touch on AWS services:
EC2, RDS, Elasticache, CloudWatch, SNS, S3, Route53, CloudFront, and SES
...and yes I intend to do it all in an hour.
I will also show a little of our local Chef workflow using Vagrant. By the end of our time together, you should walk away with a greater understanding of how you might achieve an AWS managed service and how Crifkin has been delivering Drupal solutions in the cloud.
